class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Naast suikers verkregen uit mout kun je ook andere suikertoevoegingen doen tijdens het koken van het wort. Het is een hele scala aan suikers die je kunt gebruiken. De zuiverste suiker is kristalsuiker. Deze is ook het neutraalst van smaak. Anders suikers zijn licht tot donker gekleurd en geven vaak een typische smaak.<br \/>Donkere kandijsuikers worden vaak toegevoegd om een bier te kleuren zonder gebruik van donkere mouten, die een wat gebrande smaak kunnen geven.<br \/>Voor de hergisting op de fles wordt een kleine hoeveelheid suiker toegevoegd aan het bier bij het bottelen: <a href=\"#bottelsuiker\">bottelsuiker<\/a>. De in het bier aanwezige gist zet de suiker om in koolzuur en alcohol. Omdat de fles afgesloten wordt met een dop kan de koolzuur niet uit de fles. Het zorgt voor de &#8220;prik&#8221; en schuimvorming.\u00a0 Een teveel aan suiker in de fles kan voor spuitend bier zorgen en in het extreme geval maken dat flessen exploderen.<\/p><p>Als bottelsuiker kun je alle suikers gebruiken die in de bovenstaande tabel zijn opgenomen, maar gebruikelijk is hiervoor kristalsuiker of glucose te gebruiken.<br \/>De hoeveelheid benodigd bottelsuiker is afhankelijk van de temperatuur tijdens de nagisting, de bierstijl en je persoonlijke voorkeur. Maar ook van het suikergehalte van je suikerbron. Het is onvergistbaar vandaar dat het gebruikt wordt voor het aanzoeten van bier. Een punt van aandacht is dat sommige mensen een lactose intolerantie hebben.\u00a0 De zoetkracht is vrij beperkt. <br \/>Hoewel sommige bierproevers\u00a0 de smaak van lactose als neutraal omschrijven, zijn er andere bierproevers die de smaak van lactose herkennen.<br \/>Lactose is een vast bestanddeel van milk stouts en pastry stouts.<\/p><p>Er zijn meer stoffen waarmee je je bier een vollere en wat zoete smaak kunt geven.\u00a0 Zo kun je bij de leverancier voor brouwartikelen maltodextrine kopen, ook wel brew body genoemd. Je verhoogt hiermee de hoeveelheid onvergistbare suikers van je brouwsel. De zoetkracht van maltodextrine is beperkt. Naast iets meer zoetigheid krijg je ook body en schuimhoudbaarheid.<\/p><p>Het zoeter maken van je bier kan ook met kunstmatige zoetstoffen. Wees daar voorzichtig mee.
