Topic: Controlling Iwaki Pump Flow?

Hello Gentlemen,

I found your forum via Google whilst searching for information on Iwaki pumps when used in home brew applications ...you guys seem to use them more than any other community.

So, I have a quick question please... has anyone tried controlling the flow of these pumps (MD-10 specifically) using a variable AC/Mains voltage?

These magnet driven centrifugal pumps can be controlled easily by squeezing the outflow tube.
This will do no harm to the pump and if you use a tap/faucet, regulation can also be quite precise.
